When sending a set for duplication, please make sure to remove strings from instrument in proper sequence or order. Place them in the proper order on a piece of wire and tie securely. If a string is missing, insert a piece of cardboard or a washer to identify the position of the missing string. An additional nominal charge will be made for sets received in a mixed condition.
A paper pattern is also a recommended method for ordering a set of strings for a piano. Make certain all the hitch pins, bridge pins, agraffes, plate pins, or Capo D' Astro bar are impressed on the paper clearly. After taking the impression check the measurements of the first and lost string position on the pattern with corresponding positions on the piano to be certain your impression is correct.
When ordering a single string which is missing, give the following measurements:
1. Length A and Length B as shown below.
2. Size of core wire.
3. Outside diameter of wrap.
2. The note number (The lowest note is No.1)
3. The string number (The lowest string is No.1)
4. State whether it is a single wound string or a double wound string.
5. State whether it is for a unison of which there are three strings or two strings or whether it produces the note by itself.
6. The name of piano.
7. State whether for upright, grand, or
square.
8. The Serial Number of the Piano.
